Northwest Folklife is an independent 501(c)(3) arts organization that celebrates the rich arts, cultures, and traditions of the Pacific Northwest. Since 1971, Northwest Folklife has been dedicated to preserving and showcasing the cultural heritage of the region, while also fostering connections to heritage and identity. Through collaboration with local cultural organizations and community leaders, Northwest Folklife ensures that communities have agency and representation in the promotion of their cultural traditions.

They offer a wide range of programs throughout the year, including the renowned Northwest Folklife Festival, Annual Cultural Focus, Youth Engagement through Arts and Heritage (Y. E. A.

H) program, and the Our Big Neighborhood youth and family program.
