- **Primary alias:** `nwtrcc.org`

## Description

War Tax Resistance is a brave stance against funding war through federal taxes, where individuals refuse to contribute to military spending. The National War Tax Resistance Coordinating Committee provides resources and support for those who choose this path of civil disobedience. By willingly withholding payment of federal income taxes and other related taxes, like the excise tax on local telephone service, individuals redirect their money to support peace-building efforts or humanitarian causes. Motivated by a dedication to peace, war tax resistors take a principled stand against funding war machinery. The largest focus is on federal taxes that feed into the general fund, predominantly the individual income tax, which fuels about three-quarters of military spending. By understanding tax implications and legal strategies, individuals can align their actions with their peaceful beliefs and make a powerful statement against war financing. Join the resistance, make a change for peace.
