## Description

The Center for the History of Medicine and Public Health, operating within the Academy Library, is dedicated to advancing scholarly and public knowledge of the medical and public health realms. Established in 2012, the Center serves as a hub for diverse professionals, including scholars, educators, clinicians, and curators, fostering interdisciplinary connections. Leveraging the Academy Library's extensive historical collections, open to the public since 1878, the Center facilitates research and learning in these crucial fields. Though the Library is currently closed, consultations with librarians are available via phone or email. By appointment, visitors can access the Library on select days each week. With a focus on promoting understanding and bridging communities, the Center plays a vital role in preserving and disseminating the history of medicine and public health for the benefit of all.
