## Description

New York Choir Project is a New York City organization founded in 2012 to bring people together through group singing. Its approach combines the enjoyment of making music with the social and personal benefits of singing as a group, including stronger connections, elevated moods, and opportunities for self-expression. The organization originally developed singing programs for workplaces and schools, supporting team bonding at business retreats and the development of children’s social skills. Its choir community includes a range of groups, such as Britpop Choir, Brooklynite Choir, Metropop Choir, B-Side Choir, Mixtape Choir, Manhattanite Choir, Playlist Choir, Parkside Choir, and the Gen-All Choir. New York Choir Project also organizes pop-up singing experiences and events, with photos and videos showcasing its activities. People interested in joining can explore the available choirs and join the choir waitlist, while a newsletter provides updates about the organization. With a welcoming focus on community, music, and shared experiences, New York Choir Project offers ways for people and organizations to socialize, harmonize, and revitalize through singing.
