## Description

New York City Pride Hockey Alliance (NYCPHA) is an inclusive hockey organization serving New York City’s LGBTQ+ community and its allies. For 25 years, it has provided a safe space that celebrates inclusion, builds connection, and champions pride on and off the ice. NYCPHA welcomes skaters at different experience levels, from beginners and returning players to those seeking competitive hockey. Its recreational league emphasizes enjoyment over competition, while multiple competitive teams offer another way to play, with placement subject to team captain approval. The organization runs teams across divisions at Sky Rink Chelsea Piers and the LeFrak Center at Prospect Park. Its activities also include holiday scrimmages, off-ice social gatherings, and travel tournaments. Members and supporters can contribute through marketing, scorekeeping, event planning, tournament organization, and fundraising. NYCPHA offers financial aid to help people participate, recognizing the substantial costs of fielding teams in New York City.
