NYC Service is a division of the Mayor's Office that is dedicated to volunteerism and service in New York City. Our mission is to provide communities with meaningful access, opportunities, and resources to answer the call to serve NYC. We envision a city where New Yorkers are united by service and together, create a culture of upliftment and responsibility for the success of our city.

As the first City of Service in response to President Barack Obama's national call for volunteerism, NYC Service has been instrumental in engaging over 200 U. S. Our offerings include a wide range of volunteer opportunities, such as serving through Resident Volunteer Corps, participating in the Youth Opportunities program, making in-kind donations, and accessing online volunteer recruitment resources.

We also provide strategic planning trainings and workshops to enhance volunteer management and offer civic impact funding for organizations. Additionally, our Neighborhood Engagement Toolkit and Love Your Block programs promote community engagement and development.
