## Description

The New York State Motorcycle Safety Program (NYMSP) provides motorcycle training and safety resources for riders across New York State. Its courses are designed to help participants build skills and confidence, ride more safely, and pursue a New York motorcycle license. New riders can take the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Basic RiderCourse, while people who already ride can choose the Basic RiderCourse 2-License Waiver to develop the skills needed for licensing. A separate Basic RiderCourse introduces riders to three-wheel motorcycles. For experienced motorcyclists, the program offers an Advanced RiderCourse and a RiderCoach Preparation Course, supporting continued learning and opportunities to become an MSF-certified instructor. NYMSP also provides an introductory motorcycle experience, rider tips, frequently asked questions, useful links, and military information. With nearly 40 training sites statewide, the program expects to train 18,000 motorcyclists each year and welcomes qualified riders interested in teaching.
