Description
NYSTLA is the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, a professional association that has been working for over 70 years to protect New York's civil justice system. With a membership of 3,500, NYSTLA fights against legislative initiatives that aim to limit the rights of injured consumers, both at the state and federal level. They work with coalition partners and directly with victims to protect their rights and ensure they have access to a well-trained trial attorney.
NYSTLA's mission is to promote a safer and healthier society, provide access to the civil justice system for those wrongfully injured, and advance the representation of the public through ethical and well-trained lawyers. They offer excellent continuing legal education programs for trial lawyers throughout the state of New York. NYSTLA also established the Big Apple Pothole and Sidewalk Protection Corporation, which works to hold the city accountable for maintaining sidewalks and fixing potholes.
They have also been involved in providing pro bono representation to victims of the 9/11 attacks. For more information, you can visit their website or contact them directly
