About

Description

The Ohio Association of County Boards of Developmental Disabilities (OACBDD), also known as OACB, is a trade association that represents the 88 County Boards of DD in Ohio. With a mission to help boards succeed, OACB provides policy advocacy, continuing education, and technical/training assistance to professionals in the DD field. Established in 1984, OACB has been evolving to meet the needs of its diverse membership, comprised of 616 volunteer board members and thousands of career professionals in Ohio's DD service delivery system.

OACB offers a range of services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities, advocating for a strong and inclusive Ohio where people have the opportunity to choose the life they want. Governed by a 19-member board of trustees, OACB derives its policies and organizational structure from a constitution and by-laws. Additionally, OACB collaborates with County Boards of DD, which provide comprehensive services to more than 90,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities in Ohio.

Celebrating their 50th anniversary, County Boards of DD are committed to advocating, educating, and raising awareness through the Always There campaign. For more information, visit OACB's website
