## Description

The Ontario African Cup of Nations (OACN) is a soccer championship that brings Africans living in Ontario, Canada, together to celebrate their shared love of the game. Presented by the Sports Association for Community Engagement and Diversity, the tournament combines competitive football with a community-focused celebration of African culture and identity. Its events feature teams representing African nations, passionate supporters, game-day photos, player recognition, sponsorship awards, halftime activities, and food and drinks. The tournament welcomes fans to enjoy thrilling matches and memorable moments, while offering ways for people to participate beyond the field. Teams can register to compete, and individuals can volunteer, donate, or apply to become vendors. OACN also invites creators and freelancers to get involved and provides sponsorship opportunities for organizations wishing to support the championship. The 2025 final saw Kenya defeat Gambia in a penalty shootout to claim its first OACN title. With registration for 2026 announced as open, the Ontario African Cup of Nations continues to bring communities together through sport, celebration, and shared pride.
