## Description

OAPEN is a foundation based in The Hague, Netherlands, that supports the development and long-term availability of peer-reviewed open access books. It connects libraries, publishers, researchers, and funders through a global infrastructure designed to advance research and the public good. Its OAPEN Library provides a searchable collection of more than 40,000 open access books from over 450 participating publishers, in more than 80 languages, and records over 1.5 million downloads each month. OAPEN also offers services and resources tailored to different parts of the scholarly publishing community. These include library metadata and support services, publisher guidance on joining and depositing books, and information on peer-review policies. Researchers and authors can use the OA Books Toolkit for guidance on open access book publishing, while funders can access collection services and related resources. OAPEN additionally provides book analytics, supports annotations, and works with partners on projects and initiatives to strengthen open access publishing. Through its library, tools, partnerships, and community programs, OAPEN helps make scholarly books more discoverable and accessible worldwide.
