OARTY Office

OARTY Office is a provincial non-profit charitable association dedicated to improving standards, accountability, and outcomes for children in care. With a focus on residential care and treatment, OARTY serves as a collective voice for independent residential care providers in Ontario. Founded in 1971 and incorporated in 1990, our mission is to provide high-quality treatment and residential care services to children, youth, and young adults.

Our members, who are funded by the Ontario government through the Ministry of Children and Youth Services and/or the Ministry of Community and Social Services, offer essential support and care to individuals in need, including those affected by abuse and neglect, medical conditions, and developmental challenges. Together with our partners, which include Children's Aid Societies, hospitals, educational institutions, and law enforcement agencies, we work towards a better future for vulnerable populations. Additionally, we facilitate knowledge sharing through conferences, research, and valuable resources available on our website.
