Welcome to Openbare Basisschool 'Piet Hein', one of the oldest schools in the Netherlands and yet a modern IPC school located in the heart of Amstelveen. At Piet Hein, we provide high-quality education with a focus on different levels and talents. Our motto is: You grow in our education every day! Piet Hein offers a range of benefits including a young and motivated team, the advantages of a large school with a cozy and intimate atmosphere, personalized instruction, English from grade 1, specialized gymnastics and music lessons, Kanjertraining (social skills training), IPC (International Primary Curriculum), 350 Chromebooks for interactive learning, and both external and internal enrichment programs.

We also offer after-school activities for our students. With approximately 645 students spread across 26 groups, we are currently located in two buildings within walking distance of each other. As a growing school, we have an admission policy in place.
