## Description

L’Observatoire des armements, established in 1984 in Lyon, is France's premier independent center for expertise and documentation focused on defense, security, and arms control. As a non-profit organization, it dedicates itself to providing valuable resources on several critical themes, including nuclear arms, disarmament movements, and international humanitarian law.

The organization offers a plethora of services, including in-depth publications, analytical reports, and critical insights on issues like military exportation and the impacts of nuclear testing. Their ongoing projects, such as the "Damoclès" review, address contemporary conflicts, including the ongoing situation in Ukraine, and explore civil resistance against militarism.

Through various events, educational workshops, and public debates, L’Observatoire aims to raise awareness about the societal impacts of the arms trade and advocate for peace initiatives. As a leader in promoting transparency and accountability in arms policies, L’Observatoire des armements is committed to fostering informed public discourse and action towards disarmament.
