## Description

The Observatorio Cubano de Derechos Humanos (OCDH) is a non-profit organization established in Madrid in 2009. Comprised mainly of former Cuban prisoners of conscience, specifically from the 'Group of the 75' who were incarcerated during the infamous Black Spring of Cuba in 2003, as well as members of the Damas de Blanco Association and other Cuban human rights activists both in Cuba and in exile. The OCDH works tirelessly to defend human rights and universal values recognized by democratic states. They denounce violations of civil society's freedoms and fundamental rights in Cuba and take action by developing initiatives to strengthen the independent Cuban civil society. Their areas of work include advocacy, events, communications, legal matters, and social rights. The OCDH provides various services such as dynamic social group support, economic rights observation, registration of Cuban associations, social rights, surveys, and campaigns. They publish reports, opinion pieces, and updates on their website, shedding light on the human rights situation in Cuba.
