## Description

Observatori DESCA is a Barcelona-based human rights centre and think tank dedicated to defending social rights and advancing ecological justice. Its work focuses on housing and the city, environmental rights, economic justice, and food sovereignty, connecting these issues through research, advocacy, public education, and civic participation. The organisation publishes reports, guides, and interactive resources on topics such as housing rights, airport expansion and emissions, food systems, labour conditions, and the influence of investment funds. It also offers training and educational activities, including courses on housing rights, social advocacy, and strategic human rights litigation. Through its news and campaigns, Observatori DESCA highlights rights violations, supports affected communities, and calls for institutional accountability, including in relation to business impacts on human rights. Its productions extend beyond written research to documentaries, books, and podcasts, using literature and audiovisual work to make social and ecological issues accessible to wider audiences. Based in Barcelona, the organisation also shares updates through its website and newsletter, and collaborates with civil society groups, researchers, and social movements.
