The Observatoire de Paris | PSL is the largest national research center in astronomy, founded in 1667. It houses five laboratories and an institute where 30% of French astronomers conduct their research. Located in Paris, Meudon, and Nançay, these research units are collaborations with the CNRS and prestigious scientific universities in the Paris region.

In addition to research, the observatory also carries out its missions through two scientific services.
