## Description

Ocala Civic Theatre, located in Ocala, FL, is a beloved brand that has been uplifting, inspiring, and entertaining the community for over 70 years. As one of the largest community theatres in the state, OCT serves 65,000 local residents each season. Offering professional-quality live performances, OCT owes its success to the talented volunteers, staff, and guest designers who bring their dedication and skills to the stage. In addition to their incredible theatrical experiences, OCT also provides education and enrichment programs for learners of all ages. With over 1,000 participants year-round, these programs offer skill-building and performance classes to nurture artistic talents. The journey of OCT began in 1950, with a group of young people known as The Marion Players, who wanted to provide top-tier entertainment for the Ocala community. Over the years, OCT has faced challenges and triumphs, and they now stand strong as one of the largest community theatres in the southeastern United States. To celebrate their 70th anniversary, OCT has refurbished their auditorium, ensuring a comfortable and accessible experience for all audience members. With a resilient spirit and unwavering community support, Ocala Civic Theatre looks forward to creating the magic of live theatre for many more years to come.
