About
Description
OCBSA, or Orange County Council Boy Scouts of America, is an organization dedicated to educating and shaping future leaders in Orange County, California. With over 100 years of experience, OCBSA combines educational activities and lifelong values with fun and adventure in the outdoors. Their mission is to build better young people and future leaders by providing a high-quality program that improves families and communities.
The Orange County Council is divided into seven districts, each consisting of local Scouting units such as Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops, Venturing Crews, and Exploring Posts. These units are chartered to local schools, religious organizations, or community centers. Scouting activities take place throughout the year in neighborhoods and scout camps.
OCBSA operates from the Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center, also known as the Scout Campus. This location allows them to focus on introducing more youth to the outdoors through life-changing programs. The Scout Campus is open to volunteers, Scouts, the community, and Council staff who are passionate about Scouting and the outdoors.
For those interested in getting involved with Scouting or learning more about the organization, OCBSA can be contacted at 1-800-20-SCOUT. Additionally, the Orange County Scout Shop remains open for purchasing Scout merchandise and is located at 1211 East Dyer Road in Santa Ana, California
