## Description

Old Capitol City Roller Derby (OCCRD) is an Iowa City roller derby league that brings skaters, volunteers, officials, and fans together around the sport. The league welcomes new skaters through a boot camp, with its next intake scheduled to begin November 4, 2026. Prospective recruits can email the league to join its email list for updates on events and volunteer opportunities, as well as further boot camp information. Transfer skaters are accepted year-round, and interested people are encouraged to contact OCCRD with questions.

For those who want to support the league without skating, the Old Cap Expansion Pack offers a way to participate as a volunteer, non-skating official (NSO), or dedicated fan. Members receive invitations to quarterly social events and skating opportunities, along with the league newsletter. OCCRD also shares event information and offers advance ticket purchases through Venmo. Tickets cost $8 for adults, while children under 10 are admitted free. The league acknowledges the sponsors who help support its activities.
