Ocean Impact Organisation (OIO) is Australia's first ocean impact innovation ecosystem and startup accelerator. Our mission is to support and accelerate businesses that have a positive impact on the ocean. With 70% of the Earth's surface covered by the ocean, it plays a crucial role in regulating our climate, producing oxygen, and sustaining the livelihoods of billions of people. However, decades of mismanagement and the threats of climate change have put the long-term health of the ocean in danger. OIO is dedicated to transforming ocean health through inspiration, innovation, and good business. We offer a range of startup programs, mentoring, and support to help entrepreneurs start, grow, and invest in businesses that positively impact the ocean. Our initiatives focus on six key themes, including pollution and biodiversity protection, ocean harvesting, ocean energy, transport and security, inspiration and leisure, and new frontiers. By bringing together a diverse ecosystem of founders, experts, partners, investors, and philanthropists, we aim to establish Australia as a global leader in ocean solutions and accelerate 100 ocean impact startups within five years.
