## Description

Oceanaria Andalucía is a coastal information project developed by the EDANYA group and the Chair of Coastal Sciences of the Costa del Sol. It helps people explore more than 500 beaches across Andalusia, from Huelva and Cádiz to Málaga, Granada and Almería, and provides practical information for discovering and enjoying the region’s Mediterranean and Atlantic shores.

The website offers a beach search tool and forecasts relating to coastal conditions. Visitors can view estimated jellyfish behavior over the next seven days, along with five-day overviews of the probability of finding jellyfish or algae on Andalusian beaches. It also presents conditions for a range of water and beach activities, including swimming, diving, rowing, sailing, surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, paddleboarding, fishing and sunbathing.

Oceanaria explains that its jellyfish visualizations are approximations, since the exact locations of jellyfish offshore cannot be known. Its rankings provide more detailed comparisons of beach conditions for particular sports, including current recommendations by province and municipality.
