## Description

Ocean Hugger Foods is a brand based in New York, NY that specializes in sustainable, plant-based alternatives to popular seafood proteins. Their innovative products aim to reduce stress on the world's oceans by offering delicious and environmentally friendly options to traditional seafood. Their flagship product, Ahimi®, is the world's first plant-based alternative to raw tuna. Made from tomatoes, Ahimi® provides all the taste and texture of raw ahi without the ecological impact. Ocean Hugger Foods also offers Unami™, a plant-based alternative to freshwater eel (unagi) made from eggplant. This flavorful substitute is not only delicious but also sustainable. If you're interested in trying out their products, you can use their menu locator to find them near you. And if Ahimi® and Unami™ are not available in your area yet, you can sign up for their mailing list to be notified when they become available. Ocean Hugger Foods also works with foodservice providers to offer plant-based options for menus, recognizing the growing demand for plant-based menu items. Visit their website to get in touch and explore the exciting world of their plant-based seafood alternatives.
