## Description

Odisha AI is a not-for-profit global community bringing together Odia people working in or interested in artificial intelligence. Its mission is to connect Odias across the world, encourage idea sharing and collaboration, and strengthen Odia representation in AI. The community includes technologists, academics, researchers, investors, policymakers, and enthusiasts, with members in more than 16 countries.

Odisha AI supports learning, research, and practical innovation through initiatives such as the AI Foundation Series, a 20-session program covering AI fundamentals from theory to practice; Rathathon, a continuing hackathon focused on real-world AI applications; and research into generative AI and large language models for Indic languages through Odia Generative AI. Its activities also include conferences, summits, regional events, faculty development, and community chapters. Annual gatherings bring together educators, policymakers, industry leaders, and investors to discuss AI’s potential for Odisha, India, and the wider world. The organization also provides resources such as an AI glossary, information on Odisha’s AI policy, and OpenOdia PyPI.
