## Description

The Organ Donation & Transplantation Foundation (ODTF) Sri Lanka is a nonprofit organization that works with the Ministry of Health to facilitate the country’s national organ donor and transplant program. Its aim is to strengthen the national transplant program and help more patients access organ transplants. ODTF raises public awareness about organ donation and invites people to register as donors through its National Donor Card Programme, launched in 2021. The foundation also supports donor recognition through a memorial wall, stories and tributes, and events including Organ Donor Day on February 18. Its projects and collaborations contribute to transplant efforts, with ODTF reporting a milestone of 400 kidney transplants at Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital. The organization offers ways for the public to get involved, including volunteering, making donations, and participating in awareness programs and events. It also provides an online store and shares news, event information, and educational resources about organ donation. ODTF reports 22,657 registered donors and highlights the need for transplants in Sri Lanka.
