#OERcamp is a brand that focuses on promoting and mainstreaming open educational resources (OER) through their various offerings. They provide a platform for practitioners in the German-speaking region to connect and collaborate on digital and open teaching and learning materials. Since its inception in 2012, #OERcamp has organized 34 camps in different cities across Germany, with participants from all educational sectors. These camps offer a unique and contemporary learning format based on openness, sharing, participation, and equality. #OERcamp facilitates the sharing of ideas, experiences, and solutions through sessions, collaborative text documents, blogs, podcasts, and more. Additionally, #OERcamp offers a range of formats including webtalks, educational videos, and a virtual SummOERschool to support educators during the current COVID-19 pandemic. With their inclusive and barrier-free approach, #OERcamp aims to reduce obstacles to participation by eliminating fees and formal requirements, and promoting cross-sector collaboration and peer-to-peer support. They serve as a hub for the growing German OER community, offering a wealth of resources and opportunities for educators to engage and contribute.
