# OERS - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `oers.ca` ## Description The Oceanographic Environmental Research Society (OERS) is a Canadian organization dedicated to protecting and conserving marine life and natural habitats. It responds to threats from natural disasters and human activities by supporting research, education, rescue, and rehabilitation. OERS is based in Barrie, Ontario, with education and training activities primarily in Toronto and field research at the Comeauville Marine Institute in Nova Scotia.
