## Description

Off the Track Alliance (OTTA) is a national nonprofit dedicated to the lifelong welfare of Thoroughbred and Standardbred horses after racing. It supports Australia’s off-the-track community by connecting owners, carers, organisations and others who contribute to horses’ lives beyond the track. Many horses move into new careers and homes after racing, but the people caring for them can face fragmented information and disconnected support. OTTA works to address these challenges by strengthening existing networks, encouraging collaboration and advocating for a coordinated national approach to aftercare.

Its work combines national advocacy with regional engagement and an online community. OTTA’s priorities include bringing people together, sharing knowledge across organisations and sectors, and using evidence and community insights to improve support. The organisation also offers a directory and shares updates, resources, programs and opportunities to get involved as its work develops. Through partnerships with nonprofits, foundations, community groups and ethical brands, OTTA aims to build lasting support for horses and the people who care for them throughout their lives.
