## Description

Operation Food Search MetroMarket is a mobile market program serving communities across the St. Louis bi-state area where access to fresh, healthy food is limited. Part of the Operation Food Search family, MetroMarket brings affordable groceries directly to neighborhood partner sites through farmers trucks, indoor markets and fresh food kiosks. Its selection includes produce sourced from local farm partners, meat, dry goods and other food items. Prices are significantly lower than those at retail grocers, helping customers shop for nutritious food at more accessible costs. MetroMarket accepts cash, SNAP/EBT, credit and debit cards. Mobile markets operate Monday through Saturday, with year-round service at select locations in Missouri and Illinois. Customers can use the website to find nearby market stops or sign up for text updates about schedules and routes. Founded as an independent nonprofit in 2016, the program has grown to serve more communities throughout the region. MetroMarket also welcomes community involvement through volunteering and newsletter sign-ups, and works with local partners to make its markets possible.
