## Description

Of the Earth Nourishments is a personal chef and small-event catering business led by Chef Ava Hicks-Mazzallo in Asheville, North Carolina. Its plant-centered approach celebrates seasonal produce, wholesome ingredients, and vibrant flavors, with menus shaped around clients’ tastes and dietary requirements. Drawing on experience in cooking, farming, the arts, and studies of permaculture and sustainable food, Ava creates meals inspired by the natural world and the changing seasons.

Services include in-home meal preparation for individuals and families, making convenient, nourishing meals available without sacrificing flavor. For small gatherings, Ava provides personalized catering, from intimate dinners and date nights to birthdays, holidays, and other celebrations, managing the food from planning through service. The business also offers culinary workshops that help participants build kitchen confidence and learn new skills and recipes, as well as hosted food events for guests who want to enjoy a prepared meal together.

Of the Earth Nourishments aims to make food a source of enjoyment, connection, and care, creating meals that bring people together while honoring seasonal ingredients and the local ecosystem.
