## Description

OGC Splash is a dedicated support group focused on aiding individuals and families affected by oesophageal-gastric cancer in Portsmouth and South Hampshire. Established in 2013 by a passionate cancer nurse, the group has grown into a charitable organization, officially recognized in 2020, that offers invaluable resources and emotional support to its members. With a wealth of experience, the team comprises former patients, carers, and healthcare professionals who truly understand the challenges faced during and after treatment.

OGC Splash provides a buddy support system that connects patients with ambassadors who have successfully navigated their cancer journey. Regular meetings are held at Queen Alexandra Hospital, fostering a sense of community and shared experience. The organization maintains a daily helpline, allowing individuals to voice their concerns and seek guidance. They also actively engage with their audience through social media channels. Funds raised by OGC Splash are directed towards enhancing the recovery and well-being of local patients, making a profound impact in the community.
