The alliance is made up of three distinct organizations: the Ohio Corn Checkoff, the Ohio Small Grains Checkoff, and the Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association. With a membership of nearly 2,000 farmers, the Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association advocates for the protection of farmers' freedom to farm and supports public policy on their behalf.

On the other hand, the voluntary Ohio Corn Checkoff and Ohio Small Grains Checkoff programs collect assessment funds from first purchasers of Ohio-grown grain to develop and expand markets, fund research, and provide educational resources related to corn and small grains. Ohio Corn & Wheat is committed to promoting consumer outreach, bolstering domestic demand, facilitating education and promotion, supporting exports, and ensuring water quality.
