## Description

The Ohio Foundation for Music Education (OFME) supports music education and student musicians across Ohio. Working alongside the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA), the foundation provides scholarships, advocacy, and resources intended to help sustain music programs in schools and expand young people’s access to music education. Its scholarship opportunities offer financial assistance to deserving students, including those pursuing All-State and collegiate recognition, helping ensure that financial barriers do not prevent musical talent from developing. OFME reports serving more than two million Ohio school children through its partnership with OMEA and highlights the relationship between school music programs and student outcomes, including graduation rates.

The foundation also advocates for music education from local classrooms to the state capital. Individuals and organizations can support its work through donations, which go toward student awards and statewide advocacy. OFME’s fundraising and community activities include the Strike-A-Chord Golf Outing, the Summer Winds Event, and sponsorship opportunities for music boosters and events.
