## Description

The Ohio Music Scene (OHMS) is an independent, artist-run network dedicated to preserving, promoting, and connecting Ohio’s diverse music culture. Bringing together musicians, archivists, and listeners across generations, it documents the state’s creative communities and supports their continued growth. Its All Ohio Radio station broadcasts around the clock, streaming locally made music, interviews, and archival recordings from communities including Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Akron, Dayton, Toledo, and Athens. Programming spans Ohio’s musical history and present-day scenes, from punk and DIY collectives to jazz, folk, and experimental sound.

OHMS’s connected projects include an archive and wiki that preserve recordings, flyers, photographs, and oral histories, alongside a civic club and fanzine that share community perspectives, interviews, and essays. Through OHMS Music Group, the network also operates an independent record label, recording studio, internet radio station, and record store. Together, these resources create a platform for discovering, documenting, and sharing Ohio music. OHMS invites people to get involved, join its community, and submit music, helping keep the state’s creative output locally rooted and accessible.
