OIA is the independent student complaints scheme for England and Wales. As a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee, we review unresolved complaints from students about their higher education provider. Our aim is to ensure fairness and equality in the higher education sector. When we find that a provider has acted wrongly, we make Recommendations for them to rectify the situation. Through our work, we contribute to the development of policies and practices in the wider regulatory framework for higher education and the ombuds sector. We also share the valuable learnings from complaints to help improve policies and practices across the sector. Our commitment to equality and diversity is at the core of everything we do. By working with organizations in the higher education and ombuds sectors, we strive to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all students.
