## Description

OJJLab, also known as Oregon Jiu Jitsu Lab, is a martial arts gym in Hillsboro, Oregon, offering Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and kickboxing for adults and young people. Its programs welcome beginners as well as experienced practitioners, with classes for children ages 5–10, youth ages 10–15, adult beginners, and adults at all levels. Members seeking tournament experience can join the competition team, while kickboxing adds striking to a broader training practice.

OJJLab’s coaching approach centers on learning through realistic situations rather than simply memorizing techniques. Coaches create challenges involving scrambles, escapes, and control, then guide students as they develop solutions at their own pace. The gym aims to support a range of goals, including fitness, confidence, self-defense, skill development, and competition.

Training paths are designed for people at different stages, from building a foundation to pursuing more intensive practice with private coaching and competition support. New visitors do not need prior experience or special gear; athletic clothing is suitable.
