## Description

The Onderstepoort Journal of Veterinary Research (OJVR) is the official scholarly publication of the Onderstepoort Veterinary Institute. It provides a platform for research into veterinary health, publishing original scientific papers on diseases and disease vectors affecting livestock and wildlife. Its work has a particular focus on Africa, while emphasizing findings with relevance beyond local settings.

OJVR covers a broad range of veterinary and animal-health topics, including infectious diseases, vaccines, biosecurity, diagnostics, animal production, and the health of people working with animals. Recent articles have addressed brucellosis, pestivirus, African swine fever, cysticercosis, rabies vaccination, and livestock supply systems. The journal serves researchers, veterinary professionals, authors, and readers seeking current evidence and specialist knowledge.

Through its online journal platform, OJVR offers access to current and archived issues, articles organized by author or section, announcements, and editorial and submission information. Authors can review manuscript guidelines, submit and track papers, and find publication-fee details.
