## Description

Kolesarsko društvo Branik Maribor proudly hosts the 47th Maraton Okoli Pohorja, a traditional cycling event scheduled for June 7, 2026. This marathon is the oldest recreational cycling event in Slovenia, attracting participants of all ages and fitness levels. The race features three distinct routes: a challenging 150-kilometer Energija plus trail, a moderately demanding 72-kilometer OTP banka route, and an accessible 50-kilometer Puščava path. Each course is designed to promote a healthy lifestyle while showcasing the stunning landscapes of Pohorje and the Drava Valley. Riders can enjoy four refreshment stations along the routes, where volunteers provide bananas, Oat Cake nutritional snacks, gels, isotonic drinks from Proteini.si, and water. At the finish line in Maribor, participants receive a gift, a medal, and a warm meal. In addition to supporting health and well-being, the event contributes to local charities aimed at helping children in need. Join us for a day of cycling, nature, and community spirit!.
