## Description

Stichting Oktoberfest Balk organizes an annual Oktoberfest in Balk, bringing local residents and visitors together for an evening of German-inspired celebration. The event is held at sports hall De Trime and features a Biergarten atmosphere, music, dancing, and German food from the barbecue. The 2026 Oktoberfest is scheduled for 10 October, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the venue closing at midnight. Entry is strictly limited to guests aged 18 and over.

Visitors can buy individual tickets or a group ticket for eight people; tickets are sold in advance and have often sold out, so availability is limited. Seating is not reserved, and tables are removed later in the evening to create space for dancing. Guests are encouraged to dress in traditional Lederhosen or Dirndls, with a discount available through the event’s clothing partner, Oktoberfestwinkel.

Beyond its flagship celebration, the foundation supports new local events and initiatives that contribute to community life and togetherness in Balk and surrounding areas. It accepts funding applications for eligible event-related products or services.
