The primary goal of OldMaps is to provide an interactive platform where users can explore high-resolution historical materials linked to geographic coordinates, enabling comparisons of urban landscapes over time. This invaluable resource is essential for historians, local experts, urban planners, researchers, and anyone interested in the history of these regions. The site features data curated from private collections and contributions from researchers, including Nuria Busygina and Valentin Starostin, with financial backing from notable supporters like Oleksii Adamchyk and Serhii Chyhvintsev. Aerial images from the 1940s were sourced from the U.S. National Archives, while satellite visuals from the 1960s through the 1980s were provided by the U.S. Geological Survey. The project is spearheaded by Artem Kostiuk, a local blogger and journalist, ensuring that the historical context remains engaging and accessible for a wide audience. ## Industries - 🗺 Reference Materials - 🗺 Maps _(under Reference Materials)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/oldmapsdp) ## Logos & icons - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idBlOFRPN-/w/1250/h/1250/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1752818581360) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Azure Radiance | #0b91ea | accent | | Japanese Laurel | #037d04 | dark | | Silver | #cccccc | light | ## Fonts - Google Sans — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
