## Description

OLDPIK is a collaborative archive dedicated to preserving and sharing the visual memory of the world through historical photographs. Its collection spans 1809 to 1999 and includes more than 21,000 pictures from over 6,500 places across 204 countries. Visitors can explore images of cities, landscapes, communities, and everyday life, with examples ranging from historic streets and public buildings to portraits, transport, and local events.

The platform offers several ways to discover its archive. Users can browse the latest pictures, sort photographs by newest, oldest, or historical order, and refine searches by date. An interactive map and location-based feature help visitors find photographs connected to particular places, while individual listings identify the image’s date and location when available. People can also contribute by uploading historical pictures, helping expand the shared collection. OLDPIK presents itself as a resource for exploring how places and cultures have changed over time, and provides supporting information, help, contact details, and policies for visitors and contributors.
