## Description

OMA Bikes Projects CIC is an independent, family-run community organisation in Fulham, London, founded on a passion for active travel. It uses bicycles and practical learning to support local people and places, with the aim of building a stronger, more inclusive community. Its work includes free in-person bicycle maintenance classes, online learning, group rides and cycling events. Training helps participants develop repair and maintenance skills, while school projects introduce young people to bike maintenance and support extracurricular learning. The organisation also offers work experience and supports placements with other bike shops, helping aspiring mechanics build confidence and professional skills. Other activities include community support initiatives, weekend cycling trips and exploratory visits to cycling cities. OMA Bikes promotes active travel for its health and wellbeing benefits, and supports local authorities and community education. By repairing and refurbishing bicycles, it also works to reduce waste and make cycling more affordable. The organisation is fundraising to transform its space and expand training and employment opportunities, and invites people to join its free classes, rides and events or donate a bike.
