## Description

Omarmsteen is the artistic practice of sculptor Rick Sonnemans, who creates personal memorial sculptures to help people keep a loved one’s memory close. Each piece is made to order after Rick listens to the customer’s story and discusses suitable shapes and colours. The sculptures are carved from Brazilian soapstone, available in brown, green and dark green, and combine polished, flowing forms with a naturally rough section that preserves the stone’s character. Each unique sculpture incorporates a visible glass tube for holding some of a loved one’s ashes. The tube is 10 centimetres long, holds 200 millilitres and is closed with a cork stopper finished with natural material. Omarmsteen offers designs called Wave, Fish and Pride, as well as individual choices tailored to personal wishes. Sculptures range from 20 by 10 centimetres to a maximum of 30 by 20 centimetres. Prices start at €500, depending on weight, and production takes approximately two to three weeks after the design has been discussed. The pieces are intended for indoor display.
