## Description

Ommetje is a free walking app designed to encourage people to get moving while keeping their brains fit. The service has attracted more than 1.7 million users, according to its website, and presents walking as an accessible way to build a healthy habit. Users can download the app and take Ommetjes, or short walks, with guidance from Professor Erik Scherder, a neuroscientist whose involvement is highlighted as part of the experience. The brand brings together everyday exercise and brain-health awareness, making it suitable for people who want a simple prompt to step outside and walk. Rather than describing a broad range of products, the site focuses on the Ommetje app as its central offering. Its message is direct: walking can be an enjoyable way to support an active lifestyle, and the app helps motivate people to do it. Ommetje is presented in connection with the Hersenstichting, the Dutch Brain Foundation, and invites visitors to download the app and join the community of walkers.
