Omnibus Theatre is a multi-award-winning independent theatre located in Clapham, South London. Our theatre is at the heart of our ambitious programme, which draws inspiration from the literary heritage of our building. We offer a diverse range of productions, including classics reimagined and contemporary storytelling, with a particular focus on new writing and interdisciplinary work.

Our aim is to give voice to the underrepresented and challenge perceptions. At Omnibus Theatre, we strongly believe in making theatre accessible to all, which is why we offer affordable tickets. Since our opening in 2013, we have produced notable in-house productions such as Woyzeck, Macbeth, Colour, Mule, Spring Offensive, Zeraffa Giraffa, Queens of Sheba, and The Little Prince.

Led by our Artistic Director Marie McCarthy, Omnibus Theatre is also home to the Studio Upstairs, a café/bar, two performance and rehearsal spaces, and a vibrant community of artists. We are a registered charity and receive no core funding. Some of our esteemed patrons include Dame Judi Dench, Sir Michael Gambon, Lord Michael Cashman, Matthew Warchus, Sir Richard Eyre, and Maggi Hambling.
