## Description

OMNY is the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s contactless fare payment service for riding New York City subways and buses. It lets riders pay by tapping a contactless credit, debit, or reloadable prepaid card, a phone or other smart device with a payment card in its mobile wallet, or an OMNY Card. Riders who prefer cash can buy and add value to an OMNY Card before tapping it at a reader.

OMNY also offers a fare cap that rewards frequent travel. After 12 individual trips within seven days using the same card or device, riders receive unlimited free rides for the remainder of that week. By registering for an OMNY account, customers can review trips and charges, track progress toward the fare cap, manage payment cards and OMNY Cards, and contact customer service. The account also supports automatic OMNY Card reloading with a credit, debit, or commuter benefits card. OMNY’s website provides information about readers, retail locations, accessibility, travel alerts, and frequently asked questions.
