## Description

**Once in a Blue Moon Academia (OBMA)** is a self-funded, non-profit organization founded in 2021, dedicated to addressing systemic injustices within India's financial and ecological landscapes. With a mission to promote human and animal rights globally, OBMA engages in academic activism that spans disciplines and cultures, facilitating discussions on political, economic, and environmental issues primarily in English, Bangla, and Hindi.

OBMA's initiatives focus on two pivotal areas: rectifying financial injustices exemplified by the Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Limited (DHFL) scandal and combating the dire effects of climate change and environmental degradation. The organization employs methods inspired by Gandhian principles and the Occupy Wall Street movement to advocate for justice on behalf of DHFL victims through non-violent civil disobedience, legal challenges, and dynamic digital campaigns.

Guided by the philosophy of "for the happiness and welfare of the many," OBMA is committed to fostering interdisciplinary approaches and systemic reform, ensuring accountability and equity in society's core operations.
