## Description

Kanovereniging Onder de Wadden is a canoeing club based in Franeker, in the Waadhoeke region of the Netherlands. Founded in 1979, the association welcomes paddlers of all ages, from people who are new to kayaking to experienced canoe enthusiasts. Members can learn to paddle a kayak, take part in recreational trips ranging from short outings to longer tours, and enjoy group sea kayaking. Training and activities are part of the club’s programme, which runs throughout both summer and winter.

The association also values its social life and shared experiences, bringing members together to organise activities and enjoy time on the water. Its website provides information about joining, training, activities, safe paddling and the club’s history, as well as stories from its publication, Het Baken. The club invites prospective members to sign up and welcomes supporters who wish to become sponsors or friends of the association. Kanovereniging Onder de Wadden’s clubhouse, De Meerton, is located on Jan Stapertlaan in Franeker, while its postal address is in Harlingen.
