## Description

One Columbia for Arts & Culture is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the arts, culture, and history of Columbia, South Carolina. Our mission is to support and advocate for the local arts and culture community, with the goal of enhancing the quality of life for residents, attracting tourists, and creating a vibrant downtown. Through collaborative efforts, One Columbia advises, amplifies, and advocates for the unified arts and culture community. We work to advise the City Council on matters related to arts and history, amplify the efforts of existing arts and history organizations, and advocate for the value of the cultural community in the city's economic interests. Our initiatives include showcasing public art throughout the city, developing a comprehensive cultural plan for the region, appointing a Poet Laureate, providing resources for artists, and assessing the economic impact of the arts. We are supported by funding from the City Council, South Carolina Arts Commission, Knight Foundation, and Central Carolina Community Foundation. Join us in celebrating the vibrant arts and cultural scene in Columbia, South Carolina!.
