Liberia One Health Platform

Liberia One Health Platform is a collaborative initiative focused on enhancing the health and well-being of humans, animals, and the environment in Liberia. Since its establishment in June 2017, the platform has been dedicated to addressing complex health challenges through a One Health approach. This includes preventing and controlling zoonotic diseases like Ebola, Lassa fever, and Avian influenza.

By bringing together experts from various sectors such as health, agriculture, and environmental protection, the platform promotes sustainable resource use and biodiversity conservation. The Liberia One Health Platform works closely with the government, NGOs, research institutions, and stakeholders to implement activities like disease surveillance, laboratory diagnostics, research, and capacity building. With a vision to improve public health outcomes at the human-animal-environment interface, the platform's mission is to coordinate effective multi-sector partnerships for equitable health outcomes while upholding values like integrity, transparency, and accountability
